The Tyger River Firefighters Foundation was established in 2013 with one simple mission: to strengthen the safety, preparedness, and well-being of the communities served by the Tyger River Fire Department.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Foundation exists to provide support beyond what public funding alone can cover. While tax funding helps maintain essential fire and emergency services, the needs of a growing community continue to expand. Through donations, partnerships, fundraising events, and community support, the Foundation helps bridge that gap by funding programs, equipment, outreach initiatives, and firefighter support efforts that directly benefit the people of our district.

We are passionate about prevention, education, and protecting lives before emergencies happen. The Foundation helps fund fire prevention materials, smoke alarm initiatives, reflective address sign programs, safety education, and community outreach events designed to keep families safe and informed.

The men and women who serve our community deserve the tools and resources necessary to respond effectively. The Foundation assists with equipment purchases, specialized training opportunities, firefighter wellness initiatives, rescue resources, and projects that enhance the capabilities of the Tyger River Fire Department.

At the heart of our organization is a commitment to building strong relationships with the people we serve. From annual events like Cookies & Cocoa with Santa to local business partnerships and fundraising campaigns such as Shamrocks & Smoke Alarms, we believe community involvement creates safer neighborhoods and stronger public trust.
